Tulum Nightlife Changes
Tulum Nightlife used to be famous for parties that lasted all night on the beach. Now, there’s a curfew. Despite the curfew, events like full moon parties at Papaya Playa Project or weekends at Bonbonniere still offer late-night fun. Most places have to close by 1 am or 2 am. But don’t worry! There are still tons of great ways to have fun in Tulum. This guide will show you all the best spots that are still open late hours and that are fun during the day.
Hotel Zone
The Hotel Zone is Tulum’s nightlife hub! You’ll find everything from lively beach clubs to restaurants with delicious food and stylish hotels – some even throw their own parties. On rare occasions you can even find exciting jungle parties with local and international DJs such as Tehmplo with Solomun or Mayan Warrior. Just remember: the Hotel Zone is the more expensive part of Tulum, so be ready for higher prices.
Nightclubs
Tulum doesn’t have a ton of dance clubs like Miami or LAs Vegas, but you can still dance the night away at its vibrant beach bars and dinner parties. However nightclubs are starting to appear, and the most popular one is Bonbonniere.
Bonbonniere
If you’re looking to dance until dawn, Bonbonniere is your spot! It’s Tulum’s only nightclub that stays open until 5 am, offering a luxurious and high-energy experience with world-class DJs. You’ll find it near other popular places like Bagatelle and Vagalume, making it a perfect afterparty club.
The music at Bonbonniere varies depending on the night. Wednesdays and Thursdays feature local DJs with a more commercial sound. On weekends, expect international talent spinning house and techno.
