Bonbonniere in Tulum: An Indoor Electronic Club

The venue is a 400-capacity electronic club on Carretera Estatal Tulum–Boca Paila in the Hotel Zone. A central dance floor anchored the layout, with mezzanine VIP sections arranged above it. That enclosed format made it a useful late stop after nearby restaurants and beach-clubs.

The club is currently closed for the low season. Its event calendar has been cleared, operations are inactive and there are no active dates to book. Visitors should not travel to the venue without first checking whether a new date has been announced.

Red Lighting, a Retractable Roof and Mezzanine Tables

Deep red lighting, red velvet details and dark surfaces defined the interior. A Funktion-One sound system served the central dance floor, while lasers and geometric ceiling fixtures formed part of the production. The retractable roof could open the room to the night sky. An open-air lounge provided space away from the main floor, and mezzanine tables looked down over the dancing.

The crowd mixed international visitors, electronic music fans and groups using bottle service. High-season events could fill the central floor, while quieter dates sometimes drew smaller numbers. The club followed a traditional table-led format, with general admission around the floor and reserved sections above it. Guests choosing a table received bottle service and staff attention within their section.

House, Afro-House, Techno and Peak-Season Events

Programming centred on house, tech-house, Afro-house and commercial. Resident DJs Xandro and Cuevas appeared regularly, while guest bookings changed with the season and event date. Michael Bibi played a featured set in 2022, and past performers also included Claptone, Damian Lazarus, Maceo Plex and Lee Burridge. January programming included multi-day Planet B events during peak season. The artist and date affected both attendance and the cost of entry or table service.

Cover Charges, Bottle Service and Entry Rules

General admission started from 500 MXN per person. Bottle-service tables started with a 21,000 MXN minimum consumption for eight guests. The minimum acted as credit for food and drinks ordered at the table. Costs could change with the event lineup, and advance payment could be required to secure a section. No admission or table bookings are currently available while the club is closed.

The bar served spirits, champagne and cocktails, alongside cigars and food covering seafood, snacks. Entry followed an elegant dress code. Caps, hats, swimsuits, tank tops, sandals and flip-flops were not allowed. Guests with reservations had to complete check-in before 10:30 PM to keep them guaranteed. A physical ID and the card used for the booking were required on arrival.
